RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing public outreach and public relations tasks for multiple clients. This entry-level position includes developing and maintaining databases; conducting research; scheduling and coordinating outreach at activity centers; writing basic public information materials; coordinating content for websites, blogs and social media sites; coordinating events and community meetings; conducting door-to-door walks; interacting with community stakeholders and maintaining hotline logs.

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, public policy or related field
- Excellent grammar, editing, writing, researching, and organizational skills
- Ability to locate, digest, and summarize information quickly and accurately
- Ability to interact on social media platforms
- Passion for research and reading
- Strong interest in social media and social media trends
- A strong work ethic and a commitment to teamwork, excellence and professionalism
- A proclivity to all things political, community and media in nature is highly desirable
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Bilingual capabilities a strong plus
