RESPONSIBILITIES

We are currently seeking talent with experience in writing for blogs and social media interactive platforms. Candidates must possess strong hands-on knowledge of social media, the blogosphere and how to build trust with online audiences. The ideal candidate will be able to draft creative, engaging blog posts and be able to write quickly and effectively about complex issues; integrate video content into blog content; write and develop content for other social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter; and be agile in communicating with online audiences and communities. 

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, public policy or a related field
- Excellent grammar, editing, writing, researching, and organizational skills
- Ability to locate, digest, and summarize information quickly and accurately
- Ability to implement integrated social media outreach strategies and applications
- Passion for research and reading
- Strong interest in social media and social media trends
- A strong work ethic and a commitment to teamwork, excellence and professionalism
- A proclivity to all things political, community and media in nature is highly desirable
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
