Josh Gertler is the president of Consensus Inc. where he leads the agency’s overall planning and vision, client service and new business. Under his leadership, Consensus Inc. has grown quickly to become one of the largest and fastest-growing independently-owned public relations firms in Southern California.

Josh has spent his entire career helping clients navigate the complex intersection of business, government, community and the media. He provides strategic communications counsel to some of the nation’s largest and most-respected companies, developers, landowners and government officials.

Previously, he spent nearly a decade at two of the world’s largest public relations firms, Hill & Knowlton and Fleishman-Hillard, where he was a vice president. 

Josh graduated with distinction with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Sonoma State University.

He is active in housing, land use and transportation policy and he serves in a volunteer capacity in a number of organizations including the Urban Land Institute (ULI), the Valley Industry and Commerce Association (VICA), and the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce.

In 2008, he was honored by the San Fernando Valley Business Journal as one of the region’s top 40 business leaders under 40 years of age.
