
Nazan Armenian is a highly experienced public relations strategist with an extensive career in designing award-winning communications campaigns for corporate and government clients. Nazan oversees the firm’s public relations and marketing work, including corporate positioning strategies, integrated media campaigns as well as trade and investment initiatives. Since joining Consensus Inc. in 2002, Nazan has provided strategic communications counsel to help clients navigate complex challenges in the land-use, transportation and public affairs space.
Previously Nazan spent her career at two of the largest global public relations agencies, Fleishman-Hillard and Burson-Marsteller. She has a wealth of experience in corporate positioning and issue campaigns for companies in R&D, wireless, gaming and telecommunications. She began her career at Burson-Marsteller in Washington, D.C. working on international trade and economic development programs funded by The World Bank and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). In the 1990s, she spent several years in Africa, Eastern Europe, Russia, Central Asia and other emerging markets designing communications strategies for privatization and capital market development. In 1998, as co-founder of an international trade consultancy, she organized the first-ever U.S.-Cuba Business Summit in Havana. Nazan earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in history and a minor degree in philosophy from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.
