It's a Three-Peat for Consensus Inc., at PR Industry Awards

December 24, 2008

For the third consecutive year, Consensus Inc., swept the Community Relations and Government/Public Affairs categories at the 2008 Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Los Angeles Chapter’s PRism Awards banquet.

The PRism Awards represent the best in public relations in the Greater Los Angeles area and were judged by members of the Pittsburgh PRSA chapter.

The awards showcase the best of Consensus Inc.’s work in communicating complex issues to communities, decision-makers and the media:

2008 PRism Award for Community Relations Program of the Year
“Building Community Support for Granada Village”
The program contributed to Regency Centers – a national developer, owner and operator of grocery-anchored shopping centers – earning entitlements to remodel a shopping center in the City of Los Angeles.

2008 PRism Award for Government/Public Affairs Program of the Year
“Limoneira’s East Area 1 Wins in Santa Paula”
Consensus Inc. developed and implemented a political campaign that helped Limoneira Company – a 114-year-old international land, farming, and food company based in Ventura County – win a June 2008 land-use ballot measure to develop its property in Santa Paula. The measure, one of the few ever approved under the county’s anti-sprawl Save Open-space and Agricultural Resources (SOAR) law, was approved with nearly 83 percent of the vote.

Consensus Inc. earned the Community Relations PRism in 2007 for “Dillon Wind Project – Winds of Change” for PPM Energy (now Iberdrola Renewables, Inc.) and in 2006 for “Building Support for Whitebird/Canyons Hills” for Whitebird Inc.

In 2007, Consensus Inc. won the PRism for best Government/Public Affairs program for its “Winning Port Hueneme” project for John Laing Homes Inc. That win followed the 2006 PRism award for Consensus Inc.’s “West Los Angeles Veterans Home Project,” on behalf of the California Department of Real Estate Division.
