Public Involvement Programs for All Planning Phases of San Fernando Valley Orange Line - Bus Rapid Transit Project
Consensus Inc. designed and managed three public participation programs for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s planning efforts of the San Fernando Valley East-West Transit Corridor MIS, EIS/SEIR, and Preliminary Engineering for the Orange Line – Bus Rapid Transit Project. The Board adopted a preferred route in July 2001 that would traverse via a Bus Rapid Transit system consisting of a busway and a bikeway within a 14-mile linear greenway that would follow the former Southern Pacific Railroad right-of-way.
Consensus Inc. facilitated public outreach for the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) on the next phase of the line, the proposed northern extension of the Metro Orange Line to Chatsworth.
