Strategic Communications Program for the Creation of a New Ralphs Fresh Fare Grocery Store in Sherman Oaks, CA
Since April 2009, Consensus Inc. has managed an extensive, strategic communications program for a new Ralphs Fresh Fare to be located in the same site as an existing Ralphs store. Architects developed a conceptual design for a new store which elevates the store level above two floors of at-grade parking from Ventura Boulevard and Moorpark Street, adds a third entrance and exit off of Moorpark Street, and enhances the walkability of Ventura Boulevard. This conceptual design had much opposition from the Sherman Oaks community and various stakeholders. Issues included the height of the proposed building, the possible increase of traffic to the major surrounding boulevards, and the length of construction time.
